Cigar culture has been part of Hollywood for decades. We love those iconic actors smoking cigars on the big screen; there’s something classic, dramatic, and mysterious about them. These are a few of our favorite leading men smoking cigars.
- Clint Eastwood’s The Man with No Name Makes Cheroots Cool. It’s not men smoking cigars in the Dollars trilogy of Spaghetti Westerns. No, it’s the man, Clint Eastwood, smoking a cheroot — a thin machine-made cigar that comes in wide range of varieties. It is not entirely clear if Eastwood’s character smoked Toscano or another brand. At Top Leaf Cigar Lounge, we offer all of the popular everyday brands including Toscano.
- Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Dutch Takes Macho to a New Level. Former bodybuilder Arnold Schwarzenegger, a cigar lover for decades, smokes cigars throughout the 1987 thriller It’s been widely reported that the action star is a fan of Cohiba and Punch Punch.
- Robert DeNiro’s Bad Guy Routine Lights Up the Screen. Who can forget Cape Fear? DeNiro, as sinister Max Cady, smokes a fat cigar while sitting in a movie theater. The scene is unsettling, but that cigar is a beauty. DeNiro’s cigars also take a leading role in Once Upon a Time in America, Raging Bull, and The Untouchables.
- John Candy Brings the Laughs in Uncle Buck. He’s not the traditional tough guy you think of when it comes to men smoking cigars, but John Candy’s antics and slim cigar are memorable in this comedy.
